Local Village
Visit a local fishing village for a glimpse of the Maldivian way of life. See the mosque where villagers do their daily prayers, the open-air children’s primary school and the boat yard. There is also a main street of shops where you can find sarongs, t-shirts and other souvenirs to bring back as a memento of your trip. Friendly local children will welcome you as you walk around the village. The ocean will surely provide its own special delights as you travel to and from the island. Please note that most local shops accept only cash payment, therefore we suggest you to bring adequate cash.
